View from THE LOOK OUT HOUSE

THE LOOK OUT HOUSE sleeps four in a spacious double bedroom/sitting room with wood burning stove upstairs, beside a bunk bedroom. The ground floor comprises a kitchen/dining room with solid fuel Rayburn, beside a small bathroom with shower. Outside bath tub with hot and cold running water and good views. Some electricity is supplied by a small windmill and solar panels, adequate for phone charging and laptops only. Cooking, the fridge and hot water are calor gas, included in the booking fee. The house can be reached by car in dry weather, otherwise with help from the management.

Gas for cooking, hot water and fridge is included. Wind and solar power lighting is free, subject to availability. Current is strictly limited to charging phones and laptops.

Built by the Government as a wartime coastal observation station between 1914-1918, the house stands alone beside The South West Coast Path in a commanding position at the head of Great Cudden Point, overlooking the whole of Mount’s Bay with views of St Michael’s Mount, the Lizard and Land’s End Peninsulas.
