THE LODGE

THE LODGE sleeps seven in a twin and a triple upstairs, flanking a comfortable roll-topped bath on the landing and a double bedroom on the ground floor, beside the sitting room with open fire, dining room, kitchen and shower.

A very unusual crescent-shaped listed cottage built into the hillside above The South West Coast Path, to form one side of a circus, ingeniously designed by Philip Tilden, the architect of Porth-en-Alls, in 1912, to give every room a sea view. The nearest beach is a bare 100 paces away. The oak woods behind make an exciting place for children to play and there is a sunny area at the front with a table and chairs. Laundry facilities are shared with the nearby Coastguard Cottages.
