Sea View House
An
impressive though
charming house built as a gift by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company
in about 1850. South facing in a commanding position with, as its
name suggests, superb views over the roofs of Willy’s
and Cliff Cottage to the sea and Bessy’s Cove.
Five bedrooms including three doubles, a twin and an attic
dormitory with four single beds; large kitchen with electric cooker
and solid fuel Rayburn which also heats the water; sitting room with
open fire; dining room seating twelve with open fire; anteroom with
baby grand piano; shower room and WC downstairs and bathroom and WC
upstairs. The house has a large enclosed garden including
a big lawn with an old working post box at the far end. There is a
small outhouse containing a washing machine and drier and storage space
for fuel and around the corner a privy. Parking for up to five cars. (Equipped
for twelve people)
